What is an ABC Contractor? Accredited Bosch Contractors are members of a select group of professional heating and air conditioning installers. This means that Pykles has been individually selected by Bosch, inducted into the ABC program, factory-trained, and equipped with the information and tools required to install, service and maintain Bosch and Buderus equipment to the highest standards. How does this benefit me as a Homeowner? Pykles was selected by a Bosch representative based on our expertise in sizing, installing and servicing HVAC systems. Additionally, this means that Pykles has been required to attend factory training and routinely performs quality installations of one or more products such as: Tankless water heaters Heat pump and solar hot water systems Heating boilers Geothermal heat pumps Extensive Training. An ABC contractor is factory-trained to properly install and service Bosch products and has experience installing such systems. Extended Warranty Coverage. After installing your Bosch or Buderus heating or cooling system, Pykles registers the products on your behalf. You will receive a certificate of registration as proof of the extended one-year warranty as well as the standard warranty. Exclusive No-Cost Extended Warranty. As the year comes to a close our vendors build anticipation with the promise of new and exciting products they have researched and developed that will be launching at the start of 2015. One of the products that Pykles is proud to announce is the EZTR40 from Noritz. The Noritz co. is on the verge of completely revolutionizing the way their tankless water heaters will be used in place of the standard 40 gallon Natural Gas tank type heaters in your home or garage. Let me give you a brief history as to how tankless heaters used to be installed and just how the EZTR40 is different. The EZTR40 stands for “Easy Tank Replacement – 40″ meaning this unit is meant to replace any 40 gallon Natural Gas heater in your home. Prior to the EZTR40, anytime a homeowner wanted to have a tankless heater installed it would come with the added expense of changing out their existing 1/2″ gas line from their old heater for a larger 3/4″ gas line from their meter to accommodate the high powered burner and heat exchanger that was a part of the new design. Additionally, homeowners would have to have their plumbing contractor extend or move the existing copper water lines to and from the heater to reach the bottom of these tankless units. These extra labor and material costs have gone away with the new innovation which is the EZTR40. Ever since I was a boy, growing up here in La Mesa, I have fondly looked forward to the holiday season. Thanksgiving at the Pykles house always brought happy feelings of Family, Football and especially good Food. When my folks started out with their home, here in La Mesa, it was a single story with 1 bathroom and 2 bedrooms and things were fairly modest when it came to the way they lived. The home that they knew then was never really a reality for me as I was the last in the line of my 5 siblings, but it never fails to make me smile seeing pictures of my Family when we were the new kids on the block. Over the years, as our Family grew in size, my Dad and Mom decided that they would need to add on to their home in order to accommodate all of us kids. So, they took their 2 bedroom 1 bathroom house and added a Family room downstairs. And then they added two more bedrooms and another bath. Followed by the final addition of a laundry room, guest bedroom and bathroom over their garage with an adjoining deck over their driveway. Needless to say, my Family aren’t strangers to the remodeling process. We know and have had many experiences with changing the space in which we’ve lived. So, without getting too sappy or sentimental, I really enjoy looking back at old photos of the time when my parents were newlywed, expecting their first couple of kids in that house, because I’ve known all along that we have had many things...
